Placing a PAD is as simple as 1, 2, 3…

  1. Source a PAD – Defibrillators are available from various manufacturers. A basic one will do the job. See the links below if you need more information about how you can fund a defibrillator for your community.
  2. Choose a location for your PAD – It’s important to place your PAD where it will be most useful. This is usually on the outside of a building in an unlocked, heated cabinet. PADmap will help you find the best place in your local community to install your defib.
  3. Looking after your PAD – Register your PAD on the Circuit: the National Defibrillator Network. This will make sure the ambulance service can direct bystanders to it in an emergency.
