The Chuck Wagon of Irvine has just launched it’s brand new public access defib!
Owner Andy McKeen has been fundraising through the public and local businesses in order to put this life-saving defib in place. The community came together to raise over £2,000 for the defib. With the next nearest defib being over 3 miles away, having a more accessible defib could someday save a life.
“It’s all about the chain of survival: Every second counts and it has been proven that early, good quality CPR along with defibrillation can significantly improve a patients chances of survival”, says owner Andy McKeen.
Save a Life for Scotland are so thrilled to see people like Andy taking the initiative to make a potentially life-saving difference in their community! If you would be interested in fundraising for a defib in your community, please contact hello@savealife.scot for more information.
